Privacy

We can't see your family's records.

KinLine has no account, and we never get a copy of your records. Here's where your records go, and how you can check it yourself.

Where your records go

Your phone

Your records are saved here. It works offline.

Only if you choose, a copy can also go to:

  • Your iCloud

    iPhone

If you use iCloud, Apple keeps a copy in your Apple Account, so your other Apple devices have it too.

  • Your Google backup

    Android

If Google backup is on, the copy is locked with your phone's screen lock, so Google can't read it.

  • People you choose

    iPhone and Android

On iPhone, through iCloud sharing. On Android, through your own Google Drive, as one locked file.

Us, the people who make KinLine. We never get a copy of your records. Nothing comes to us.

What we can see, and what we can't

What we can see

  • Totals from Apple and Google, like how many people downloaded KinLine, and crash reports if you allow your phone to share them.
  • What you write to us, if you email support.

What we can't see

  • Your family's names, records, documents and photos.
  • Medicines, allergies, insurance and emergency info.
  • Anything AI autofill reads. On iPhone, it runs on your phone.
  • Your backups, in iCloud, in Google, or files you export.
  • Who you share with.

Check it yourself

You don't have to take our word for it.

  1. Turn on airplane mode.KinLine still works. It doesn't need the internet.
  2. Open the app. There's no sign-up, no email and no password to make.
  3. Read the store labels.Apple and Google show what an app says it collects.App Store: “Data Not Collected” (opens in a new tab)Google Play: “No data collected” (opens in a new tab)

The honest part

Because we never have your records, we can't get them back for you. If you lose your phone, your records come back from your own backup.

So keep iCloud on (iPhone) or Google backup with a screen lock (Android). On iPhone, you can also save a backup file from the app.
